For example, I loved Batman Beyond but for a futuristic style Gotham they just came off as flat to me with his style. Its like if Darwyn Cooke worked on Ghost In The Shell. Besides a Timm avengers makes way more sense to me.
Oh, believe me, I saw stuff like The Batman, Brave and the Bold, the DC Nation shorts (though I’ve never been a fan of the Aardman styled clay animation stuff), and Young Justice as refreshing change in a world that still wanted DCAU stuff. I love Green Lantern more than I should have if it was traditionally animated mostly because it is Timm’s style in a new medium that really works.
And you may have said it in jest, but I’d really like to see Cooke take on the GitS universe in a project. The Major would look rather fetching and stylized in his style.
