Well, I was talking more of top music these days. Its occasionally, too simple.
For the record, that John Mayer song just came out a few weeks ago, and it is, what you call, “top music.” Did you see the other example I posted? The Beyonce song was from the same album as that example you pointed out, but the original author decided to make a point by showcasing the most mundane and “simple” song over one with stronger, richer lyrics.
And it too is “top music.”
